Fairy Garden DIY part 2

After completing the fairy houses we started to gather the rest of our supplies. On a trip to the dollar store, we found a good selection of fairy garden elements. A trip to Joann fabric, a sale, and some coupon stacking got us a few more pieces for the fairy garden. The Kid LOVES painting wooden bird houses, so we got some of those she had already painted. (I gave everything we made a good weather proof coating) We were ready.

The house we live in has a few garden beds around it. There is one in the backyard that sits between the patio and the fence. It is unusable for vegetables or flowers because it is over a slab of cement. I pulled a few vines and raked the dirt level. I had some leftover brown mulch that I put in and leveled off. I have a lilac in a pot that we put in the middle. Then the Kid and I started adding all the different pieces in. Finally, using leftover pebbles, we make roads and tried to anchor everything down. It can get windy here and didn’t want anything to blow away. The kid is pleased with it.
